Andrew Altman may be best known as the bassist for Americana outfit Railroad Earth but in his time off from the group he has slowly been amassing a catalog of songs that has found its way onto his own recordings and also onto the stage with RRE. His travels in music have landed him in 49 states, the Caribbean, Europe, Japan and back home where he currently resides just outside New York City far from his childhood home in the South. Sure these adventures are necessary for any artist worth their salt but listen closely and you may hear that weathered experience isn't just about tragedy and tribulation but redemption and ease.
