A professional actor since adolescence, TJ Washburn followed the tracks of his peers out his childhood home in rural North Florida and into the crucible of New York City. It was in there that he slept on couches, played music for wealthy children, moved to Union City, lingered in diner booths, studied and performed improvised comedy, read books, began to write with a new sense of purpose and clarity, got married, and ultimately drove back down the east coast of America to live for a time in Orlando. He now returns to his former home to play his songs and tell his stories for the first time in more than a year.
