Playful Banter is a singer-songwriter duo based out of Morris County, New Jersey. This sweetly infectious pair is made by Kimberly Sanchez and Alexis von Aulock. They met at a local open mic in Rockaway in 2015 which led to performing and collaborating together. Their goofy nature and eclectic sound laid a foundation for the perfect creative journey. They enjoy putting together mashups from artists such as Michael Jackson, The Eurythmics, Etta James, Corrine Bailey Rae, Johnny Cash, and more. Kim and Alexis have recently begun telling stories through their own original music, taking inspiration from artists like Dave Matthews, Ani DiFranco, The Lumineers, and Lake Street Dive. Their connection on and off stage is unlike any other. Playful Banter has the ability to completely redesign popular hits and transform them into an original new-age sound that can resonate with any generation. Playful Banter has made appearances at the Middle Valley Community Center in Long Valley, the Music in the Woods series at Schiff Nature Preserve in Mendham, as well as the well-known Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown. They are currently available and booking private parties, open mics, and other performing platforms.
