Born in California and spending the last 15 years in Colorado, Nick Dunbar is no stranger to the Wild West and the culture that comes with it. In Nick’s captivating debut solo album he creatively intertwines the classic Western swing and Honky Tonk sounds of greats like Lefty Frizzell, Bob Wills and Ernest Tubb with the country western traditions of Merl Haggard and Willie Nelson. His songwriting is at times cathartic and honest but at others playful and humorous . His record Little Country was released to the public March 18 and is stacked with some of Colorado’s finest musicians. 

After playing mandolin in touring bands and pounding the pavement playing Honky Tonks and Dive bars all over the country Nick decided to change gears and go a different direction. He began farming and he and his partner started a family. Nick is no stranger to cutting hay, fixing fences, raising animals and growing food. With three kids and a farm full of chores and animals in Western New Jersey. He is finding some solace in this more sustainable lifestyle. Nick continues to write and perform. His shows are filled with hot licks and witty banter and no two shows alike. He will make you fall out of your seat laughing and then break your heart moments later. With wheels already in motion for another album be sure to keep your eye on this one.
