Join local singer-songwriter Sean Kiely for the final (for now!) NICE Night at Fox & Crow. The NICE Night is an entertainment smorgasbord... a thoughtful evening full of unexpected variety, music, fun, & feelings. Each monthly show has featured a set of music by a guest artist, a performance by a comic performer, and a set of music by Sean and his collaborators, featuring many local luminaries sitting in.
Jean Rohe writes one-of-a-kind narrative songs, concerned as much with the interior lives of her narrators as with the wider world outside them. Jean recently won the 2022 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk songwriting contest with her deeply personal and timely song “Animal”. Her latest full-length record as a bandleader, Sisterly, produced by longtime collaborator Liam Robinson, won best Adult Contemporary Album at the Independent Music Awards in 2019.
A prolific songwriter, Jean is perhaps best known for her video single, “National Anthem: Arise! Arise!” an aspirational alternative national anthem performed live with brass ensemble and choir, which has now been covered hundreds of times by soloists and choirs across the US. Her co-write with Liam Robinson, “The Longest Winter” was featured on the 2020 Hadestown cast holiday album. 2023 holds the release of a new album by Robinson & Rohe, Into the Night (Righteous Babe Records), as well as the debut of her song cycle / memoir, 74 Corridor, a project for which Jean won a 2022 Brooklyn Arts Council Grant.

Ariel Evans is a NYC based comedy writer and stand-up comedian. She got her start in her hometown, Seattle, WA. Ariel was featured in 41st Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition and was a semi-finalist in the She-Devil Comedy Competition in New York City. She was the winner of the 2022 “You Look Like” roast battle in Atlanta. Her writing has been featured in The Haven, an online humor publication. She is a copywriter for Arnold Worldwide’s Institute for the Comedically Gifted.
Ariel describes her comedy as "social commentary with family baggage."

Sean Kiely is one of Jersey City’s most exciting and original singer-songwriters. His music contemplates the world with a keen eye and an ear for unusual and compelling beauty. He has released several acclaimed recordings under his own name, in addition to being an in-demand guitarist and singer on the local acoustic music scene and producer for other artists. He is often joined on stage by the area’s finest progressive folk-leaning musicians. The late hero David Crosby once said of his 2018 EP It Sure Was Good: “Fascinating music ... Very unusual, which of course I like.”
Sean is heading back into the studio this spring to record his first full-length record since 2015's Your Logo, My Logo.
