Austin-born, NYC-based singer/songwriter Ricky Stein makes music that seeks spiritual common ground between the mesas of West Texas and the cobblestones of South Brooklyn. Song titles such as "American Dreaming," "The Night Is Young," and "Street Lights" depict city life in the modern era; "The Tex-Mex Song" balances out the set with good-natured humor.  All songs are delivered with an earnest baritone, accompanied by acoustic guitar, harmonica, pedal steel guitar, stand up bass, and an affable stage presence.
